Iran, Russia ink seafaring MOU

TEHRAN, June 5 (MNA) – Iran and Russia inked the first memorandum of understanding on the identification of seafaring certificates in Moscow on Tuesday.
The Iranian managing director of the Ports and Shipping Organization (PSO) and the Russian head of the Ministry of Transportation's Department of Sea and River Transport signed the MOU and the protocol on bilateral cooperation on ports’ affairs and international maritime conventions.
The officials discussed Iran’s private sector’s investment in the Caspian Sea’s ports, the formation of a joint transportation company for activating the north-south international transportation corridor, and removing Iran’s limitations in Russian ports. NK/MA END MNA
